Continent of Palmedow
The continent of Palmedow is home to three sovreigns: Viddeon, Magnolius, and the Arcane Archipeligo. These three regions are home to people who place value in different areas of the mortal experience. Viddeon is home of the strong. Magnolious is home to the artists. And the Arcane Archipeligo is home to the magic-makers.
Arcane Archipeligo
The Arcane Archipeligo is a fully unique nation within Fynali. The entirely of this region is led by Constantine Pluveria, a professor and headmaster of the Arcademy, Fynali's premire institiute of higher magical learning. The archipeligo itself houses the school across its islands, its three houses capturing the range of magical skills for intelligence, wisdom, or charisma based casters. Although non-student citizens live on the Arcane Archipeligo, their economy is so wholly dependent on the Arcademy that no person is untouched by its influence. These non-student citizens usually live on the western-most island of the region, Wessev.
Magnolius
At the south of Palmedow is a country called Magnolius. Previously known for its rich story-telling history, bright songs, and beautiful sweeping meadows filled with brilliantly colored flowers and trees, Magnolius is now best known for the ever-expanding swamp that has been creeping ever higher up the continent over the last few decades. Its new Capitol, New Beaufort, was errected at the Magnolius/Viddeon border when its original Capitol was engulfed by the swamp in 984 EoW. The once beautiful landscapes of this country, which used to be a popular destination for Viddeonites seaking a warm vaction, has grown fallow and fetid. The people of this land have either emigrated into Viddeon, off the continent, or have relocated to New Beaufort in hopes that the swamp will stop before it reaches their new home.
Viddeon
Viddeon is the northern part of the large contiguous continent of Palmedow, sandwiched between the Arcane Archipeligo and Magnolius. Viddeon is a rocky and mountainous region, home to vast badlands with concentrated resources around a few of the region's waterways. Its biggest city is Bastion, a sprawling collection of fiefdoms where the strongest of the noble families lay claim to the coveted of land and resources. This city is currently controlled by the Dupont family, its patriarch Lionel Dupont holding the title of Duke over the remaining citizens of Bastion.
