Chapter 2, Part IV: No Boat, No Sleeves, No Problem

Dear Diary,

We won the fight! The Moonlighters are really awesome together. We got a stamp book and 20g each. When we go shopping after, I get a cool new fiddle (well, new to ME); and Rix convinces me to get some clothes for cold weather. Because we will be setting sail again! It's so exciting, and it may be freezing out there on the ship.

Capt. Preston is finally in jail, and Boatie wants to chat with him... get some info! We pretended to be Good cop Bad cop, but I think I messed it up. Either way, we fuck his day up! We kinda lie to him, get him all upset that all his "friends" on the outside are rolling on him. He starts to believe it! And Boatie gets to yell at him about all the shitty things he did.

After, we chatted with Lady Greyforge about taking Preston down for real! Yay, let's get him hanged! We are kinda on a timeframe, need to meet with Capt. Raveth at the Cove. We decided to head there on the road. Louie, Rix and Boatie get some rest. Me and Theo keep watch while we travel.

On the road, we come across a toll stop with guards. It is at this time our magic switchy fun ball thing glows again! Boatie can switch with Oxford. They switch! Which works out great because Oxford has a background that helps us talk our way through it.

It makes me think about Grayce, and not switching with her when we met Capt Raveth. Maybe it was selfish, but I didn't want to give up the time. I was having such a blast with Boatie and Capt. Raveth. It was exactly why I left home, for this adventure! And meeting new exciting people who have had so many exciting experiences.

But as we are traveling down the road... BAM, Rix is grabbed by a nasty clump of hair?! GROSS. WTF? No, wait, there are four baddies on the road ahead!

Wild Magic is amazing, but sometimes magic has a funny sense of humor...

I attempt to Magic Missel and BAM... I turn into a GIANT HARE LOL

And stunned

Finally... we win. Get to the Cove

Capt. Raveth tells us she can't actually stop the magic fire consuming Boatie's ship. She pitches us the idea of a name change... "The Phenoix Queen" Doesn't really land on the crowd well. But she's so funny. And such a cool coat. But, I think I am going to talk to the magic ball shiny switchy thingy and switch with Grayce soon. She should be here, and maybe there are some new fun adventures I could get in to at Wiltspar!

Oh! And I forgot the best part LEVEL 4 BABY!!!!!

Morgan can now cast Presidigitation; See Invisibility; and has the Telekinetic Feat!!

Faraday Lawson and Adriana Grayforge partnered together to bring adventurers together across all of Fyanli (they are responsible for these tournaments)

Zuri has been here for a couple weeks, been doing a lot of WFH

Louie heals himself with some weird shadow shit

TB and Louie have a bonding moment

Rix sends to Raveth to tell her to bring the ship back to the harbor

Raveth came across some ambushers on their way to the cove so it's safer for us to go to her

Two ways to get to the cove, take the coast, lots of creatures and stuff, or topside there is war and toll roads

We look to Adriana to see if she can get us in to talk to CPT. Preston

She agrees to get us an audience

I buy some more incense and resummon Pecan

We are looking for an instrument for Morgan

We go to the clothing store, we go to one of the nicer boutiques (Bytchin clothes)

My friends are embarrassing me, Louie buys a dope coat and rips the sleeves off, traumatizing the poor proprietor

I buy a rain coat and winter coat and walk out

Rix and Morgan get cold weather stuff at the gently used store

We go to our talk with CPT. Preston

We're heading deep into the ground

A shadowy figure approaches us, asks us if we are Adriana's friends

Theo having another existential crisis as Deputy Officer Junior Officer and The Boatswain talk about their names

We try to talk to CPT. Preston, he seems sure that he is going to end up being found innocent

Morgan tries to deceive Preston that we have him screwed over

I add on to that, he seems willing to answer a question or two

TO get through the blockade, pretend that we are a Crystalian ship or pass as a merchant vessel

The Admiral travels quite a bit. Might be able to catch them up near Crystalian.

Something about his membership in the ORC prevent him from saying certain things

Some of TB's other enemies are maybe in Cordillero?

We mention Faraday and Preston seems perturbed

We tell Adriana that Faraday is almost certainly going to help Preston get out of jail and task her with stopping that to the best of her ability

Louie asks Adriana to help Bytchin clothes if she can, also thanks her for helping his family

We head off toward the cove, 3 party members on the disk to get a short rest, we come upon a battalion ahead, holding a toll road

Evervalian garb on the battalion

The CTRL orb glows with Ox's face in it, TB swaps places with him

Ox joins us and is yelling about deadlines

Ox trying to talk us through the toll road

I lie about being a diplomat to try not to pay (mildly successful)

We get through the toll road

We come to a crossroads and discuss which way to go

Rix hears a noise behind us and gets wrapped up in some sort of hair-web

WE beat that undead ass but it was dicey, Morgan was a rabbit for most of the fight

Ox knows that Jonas was working on creating an item to harvest parts from creatures

We try to harvest parts from the undead

I take an undead hand to research

We make it to the cove where the Queen Dowager is, we don't see the boat, but Ox sees Raveth and others outside a cave

We get Boaty back as Raveth drops the spell on the boat

Raveth cannot turn the illusionary fire off on the boat

She wants to name the boat the Phoenix Queen as cover
