We go to see Chauncey and Penelope to see how we're allocating the defenses
3 individuals appear in the tree, I recognize Prof. Pluveria, the other two are a plant-looking woman (Lady Farron) and a half-elf that looks a little worse for wear (Typhon Darling, we recognize from another portrait)
Aurifer and Typhon are brothers? So is Pluveria
Typhon does not seem well
We talk about potentially harmonizing with the tree in the future (teleportation shit)
OOC we go over the distribution of defenses
Final preparations for the attack
Sky darkens to an unnatural shade
The enemy arrives, up over the dune and endless tide of skeletons, imps, quasits, mephits, eyes burning with otherworldly fire
Behind them 3 tall abominations. Towering demon, horns like spears, molten skin. Twisted giant, warped and monstrous, massive hook for a hand that it's dragging. A thing that's neither flesh nor bone, a slithering ooze stretched out like a slender man.
A storm spirit drops within the walls near the sanctuary, breaks through the walls, lets an undead tornado in. At the gate the quicksand trap claims dozens of enemies.
We decide to start in zone 4 for the battle
We successfully defend zones 4, 6 and 5 in phase 1
We hear a sound from outside the gates, people yelling for help. We see a man dressed in leather armor, wearing a black and gold cloak
RIP Selina
Selina is in the void in front of the gate. Something standing in front of it, a figure, as she approaches the figure she sees it looks like an old man with a long, grey beard. He smiles warmly at her and nods. He gives her an option to give herself to the void or relinquish a piece of her blessing to be revived. Keeps her power as a Blessed, but her powers will be a little weaker. Selina chooses to give up a piece of her Blessing to leave revival on the table. Selina asks what the old man's name was and he said she can call him Grey
Zara Trouble

Hey, guys... It's Trouble again. Sorry I haven't been checking in lately, a lot has happened recently. Lots of baddies came for the big tree, everyone was talking about what to do. It was odd, friend Zara wasn't that nervous... she was like focused.
When everyone was talking about boring stuff, Selena can talk to me and I can talk back to her! Super cool!!! Selena is like so so cool, I almost like her more than friend Zara and little Zabel. Almost. Things moved kinda quick after that and it was go time...
All of my future subjects were stationed at different spots around the tree to protect it from all the baddies that were coming. We didn't place any commoners at one area so, we all went there to protect it... Selena came with us. That made me nervous...
There was a lot of fighting and friend Zara was so cool! She can do all this neat stuff now and it even made me feel stronger. We fought a big angry storm cloud, a zombie not dragon dragon thing, and a big red guy with strangely kinky piercings... That guy was kinda weird. Not that I'm judging!
This is bad... This is so so bad. We almost chased the baddies away but when we got outside the walls. There were so many zombies... too many zombies... Schnoz did what he could but there were just too many of them. Selena... She got knocked down... I tired to wake her up. I promise you guys I tried so hard to get her to wake up but... but she didn't move at all. I'm sorry Selena... We're friends and I let you down... Friend Zara screaming really loud is the last thing I remember.

Hope you're still reading these letters, Punk. It's Louie. Shit's getting real for me... I need to be here doing this but, I'd be lyin' if I said this shit wasn't scary as fuck sometimes. We made it across that fuckin' desert to see the big ass tree we were tryin' to reach was under attack by a buncha crazy shit.
I heard a woman scream... Grief and anger... I could just fuckin' feel it, I had to help. I ran up on this creepy lookin' fuck and just swung away at his gangly ass. There was another group there fighting off a bunch of zombies. There was also a raccoon? Don't ask...
Anyways, we all came together and handled the threat but, it got dicey for sure. I hate to tell you about this kinda shit and make you worry but, I know better than to try sugar coating shit with you. Buncha geezers are gonna talk our ears off now, I'll write you again soon. Promise. Try to stay outta trouble, Punk.

Theo and squad arrive as it's looking grim for the other team
Leather daddy's voice sounds familiar to Rix, someone that sits on the council back home
Hanx comes and retrieves Selina's body
Rix kills leather daddy hell yeah
We saved Wiltspar I think
Rix searches leather daddy's body, two health potions, a magical staff, and a scroll. A warrant for her own arrest signed by the entire council. Bounty for 400 gp
Theo takes leather daddy's cloak
Something barrels through the sky towards the tree, big ass dragon, figure holding a spear, dark energy pulses out of it. Same energy team Theo saw in the arena. Figure is fully clad in plate armor, black and gold cape.
Back of the cape has a bright spear embroidered on it. They take a battle ready stance and fly by the Wiltspar Tree, plunging the spear directly into its bark. Energy pulses into the tree as it fights against the barrier that the old Blesseds are trying to maintain. Glowing streak heads down towards the trunk.
The Professor destroys the spear that is in the tree eventually by using a big spell
Oz recognizes the spell as Mordenkainen's Spectral Sword
We head to the tree, all 11 of us
Typhon looks to the PRofessor and the Lady
He casts a spell that the arena group is familiar with, doesn't seem to be working
"This is our purpose, this is our destiny"
Purple aura explodes from Typhon, fight and win. I hope you find your way through this
Goodbye Blessed ones and good luck. Wiltspar Tree begins to heal itself, evil poison burned away completely. Standing where Typhon once was is nothing.
