Starseers

The Rulers of Hexdove

The Starseers are revered figures who serve as both spiritual guides and political leaders for North and South Hexdove. Chosen through trials at the Well of Creation, they are believed to be directly empowered by the Creator Hexdove. They have a small court of magically-talented individuals to assist in the day-to-day matters of the land. As members of the Council of the Five, the Starseers represent the distinct needs and perspectives of their continents while embodying the shared legacy of Hexdove's divine origins. The Creation of Two Starseers

Following the catastrophic Blightening of Lightjay in 1722 (Age of Rule), which left the Council of the Five without a leader for that continent, North and South Hexdove sought greater representation. To address the distinct needs of their distant populations, the single Starseer of Hexdove was divided into two roles, creating the Northern and Southern Starseers. Each now serves their region while maintaining the shared duty of preserving Hexdove's legacy and spiritual authority.

The Svelban Portal

The Svelban Portal is a dark, swirling gateway located on the icy eastern shore of South Hexdove's harsh mainland. It is shrouded in mystery, and while its exact origins and purpose remain unknown, it has long been the subject of fear and fascination. The Well of Creation

The Well of Creation, a stunning crystalline cavern deep in North Hexdove, is central to Hexdove's spiritual identity. Said to be a direct pathway to the Creator Hexdove, it is the site where the first Starseer received their powers. All aspiring Starseers must journey to the Well to undergo its mystical trials, where they are "judged" and either granted the Creator's blessing, sent back unworthy, or never return.
