Locations of Legend
Cliff to Floating Island (MC and Sara)
At the western edge of Fencrest, an earthquake created an unusually steep and sheer cliff face. From this, a floating island was created, which now remains high above sea level between Blightjay and Materhawk
Community of Artisans (MC)
Treefyre is a small forest community that was created through the skilled efforts of wood elves and highly-specialized artisans. Magic is looked down upon here.
Ice Cavern (Sara)
Although perhaps subjective, the most beautiful sight on the planet is a place where few have been-- a naturally occurring palacesque ice cavern on Yowndrift
Isolated Air Genasi Village (Roscoe and Brittney)
The city of Ivor is a quiet and isolated village at a mid-level peak in the World Spine mountains, inhabited mostly by Air Genasi, though other races exist there as well. These people were forced out of Gilding and settled here to create a safe home for themselves and their children.
Ruined Tower (Nolan and Dylan)
The ruins of a tower are found where all of the islands of Dreigull meet. This tower was once a library, but collapsed in a vicious storm that caused tidal waves to batter it.
Storm Giant Island (Justin)
There is an island south of Materhawk that is inhabited by Storm Giants.
Withering Bog (MC)
Roost's most hideous landmark is the Withering Bog, an area within the channel between Terepip and Larrune where a devastating battle was once fought. No matter how much time between now and that battle, the stench of death lingers across this bog, and the bodies of the dead soldiers are hauntingly preserved in the putrid waters.
Dangers of the Land
Blightjay's Undead Dragon (Nolan)
At the very edge of Blightjay, in the mountains to the northeast is rumored to be an undead dragon.
Don't Blink (Brittney)
On an island off of Portico, there are rumors of terrifying creatures who are only harmless when they are stared at directly.
Giant Spiders in Timber Wilds (Roscoe)
In the Timber Wilds, northeast from Fowlerton is an area riddled with enormous spiders. People have long stayed away from this area of the wilds.
Hag's Warning (Dylan)
A hag near the ruined tower issued a dire warning to the world: an unavoidable geological shift is going to happen in Roost.
Man Sends Citizens to Blightjay (Nolan and Dylan)
A young man has lured many citizens and tourists on the island of Tessaron to head to a specific area of Blightjay with the promise of riches. No one has ever returned from this place, and many different people have their own legends about what is out there.
Svellban Portal (Justin)
There is a dark and foreboding portal on the eastern shore of Svellban, a place already known for being quite hostile and difficult to traverse due to the freezing temperatures and unforgiving terrain.
Discoveries Abound
Cosmic Rain on Fury Isles (Brittney and Sean)
Scientists studying the geology of the Fury Islands have recently discovered a cache of Cosmic Rain, an ore/element that enhances magic.
Machine of the Creators (Dan)
An old piece of machinery was discovered in the cliffs of the World Spine mountains. Archaeologists believe that this was something once used by the Creators for reasons unknown.
Woman Discovers Ancient Text in Kismet (Brittney)
A young woman discovered an ancient text that unveiled the map to a treasure. She has convinced citizens of Mizulet to join her on an expedition.
Intriguing Factions
Church of the Creators (Dan)
The Church of the Creators, a highly influential and worldwide faction, has the highest status in Roost. Their base of operations is in Gilding.
Church of the Sixth (Dan)
In the city of Dunkirk, a faction has gained standing in the recent years, claiming the existence of a sixth Creator, Malcrow. Dunkirk is known as a city of heretics to the other areas where the Church of the Creators' influence is heaviest.
Pirate Regime (Sean)
A group of bloodthirsty pirates have settled illegally onto the island of Illution, building a small, violent kingdom on the northeast shore. They have killed Vladislov Oblako, the lead Felcrom military general, creating military turmoil in the region.
Trisland Triad (Roscoe)
A small group of water genasi are gaining ground as a faction within Scattersparrow. Stationed in the Trislands, the Trisland Triad is working to solve the water corruption issue that plagues the surrounding area.
Rumored Events
Equilibrium Conflict (Sean)
A recent war that spanned nearly 20 years between the countries of Riviner and Felcrom over the highly coveted substance known as Cosmic Rain. Many casualties were sustained over this period of time, including those in the two precipitating events: The Bombing of Hexton Grove and the Carracosta Incursion.
Famine in Haven (Justin)
Haven is struggling with famine due to a water corruption issue coming out of the Trislands to the north.
Genovian King's Death Leads to Materhawk Tensions (Dylan)
The King of Genovia has died, reigniting a long-standing debate within the surrounding areas of Fencrest and Larrune over the borders of Larrune, and which type of people should be considered citizens.
Man in Hexton Grove Confesses to Regicide (Sara)
An old man in Hexton Grove confesses to a cleric in confidence that he has killed the King of Genovia.
