Frostwane
Non-Denominational, Non-Religious Global Holiday

Frostwane is an annual festival occurring on the 51st day of The Frost Season. As the first day of the second half of The Frost Season, it celebrates the approaching end of the coldest season of the year. It is traditionally spent with one’s family and/or community, and large potluck-style feasts are common. Gift-giving is encouraged, but the true emphasis of the holiday is to celebrate the ties with the people closest to us, without whom one could never expect to survive the barren Frost.
Because this holiday does not belong to a single religion or deity, and there are no cultural, regional, or racial ties, it is the single most celebrated day in Roost. Like the people who celebrate it, its traditions are varied and unique, from the Anticipatory Yodels of Materhawk's Underdark people to the Feast of the Seven Arthropods of Driegull's "Central Head" Aarokocra tribes. There is no wrong way to celebrate Frostwane as long as you do, in fact, celebrate it! (Note: Please see the detailed account of the Culturvator's Frostwane Report from Chapter 1, Part V.)
