Why am I nervous to approach her? She was with a child when she noticed me and the look in her eyes when she looked at me would have killed a lesser man... The child brings us to her mother who is tight lipped. Clearly a military occupation. No "able bodies" to be seen, all taken to work the mine. The girl's mother was wearing a strange bracelet and pulled on it during our conversation. Likely a signal. Aer and I could not convince this woman to provide anymore details.
Aer is trusting me to keep an eye on her father... I will not fail her. I will not betray her trust in me. No harm will come to this man while he is under my care... I had to threaten a kindly old healer, he noticed Aer's father wasn't who we said he was.
