Victoro's Story

Never having known his real parents, Victoro's earliest memories are of the small troupe of thieves who raised him on the streets of Gilding. When the troupe's hideaway was raided during his teenage years, Victory turned to independent work to make a living by thievery.
But one night, Victoro pushed his luck too far. He was planning to steal from a tycoon's vase collection, but he was beaten to the punch by a local thieves' guild. Feeling embarrassed, he then broke into the guild's hideout and stole a sapphire vase. Someone must have realized that Victoro was the thief, because the thieves' guild soon sent out hitmen to kill him. (The assassins missed and mistakenly killed Victoro's most trusted fence.)
Victoro realized that life as an independent thief was too dangerous, yet he couldn't resist the desire to sneak and steal. So, he turned to more honest work by joining the Mercy Unit. He plans to someday relocate to a new city, or at least bide his time until the uproar at the thieves' guild blows over.
