Darwin Fox's Story

Darwin was born in Hexton Grove to human parents (Adam and Natalie Fox). They were very surprised to have a Tiefling son but did not treat him any differently than they would have a human boy. The Fox family is well-off due to Adam's grandmother (Marley Fox) having been a successful adventurer and leaving the family with enough gold to live off of for generations. Darwin had a fantastic childhood, but he could never quell his curiosity about his origins. Darwin's parents were never able to give him a definitive answer as to why he was born a Tiefling. They theorized that it could have something to do with one of Marley's past adventures.

Entering adulthood, he left home to attend the Marshall Conservatory, a Bard college. He studied all the basics such as instruments and song, but he also specialized in cartography and archaeology. He initially chose this path because he found it genuinely interesting, but he also realized exploring the world and whatever dungeons and ruins were out there could maybe help him obtain some answers about his Infernal ancestry. Upon graduation he set off toward Gilding, knowing that it was a good place for fledgling adventurers to get their career started.
