Searching through the corpses, 100 gp, cool sword, adamantine plate armor, ring protection
I take the ring, split up the gold, armor to Guy, the sword is Edric's sword, I hand it to Artemi, it's the sword from when they were younger
Artemi's shadow walks over to him and holds out its hand
Guy goes into the second room, floor to ceiling metal crates, bolted to the floor, ceiling, wall, stacked in rows, Aine notes that these crates are probably full of magical items
Front right room has two machines set up on a pedestal
These machines clearly control these machines in the other room
Nix swats the far machine and an awful grinding noise
Other front room has stairs down and a bunch of empty, discarded crates
We find an office of a higher-level employee sign says Thea-elle Leaze, Nix immediately begins to rifle through the stuff in this room
Nix finds information about weapons of the gods, legend of the weapons, they can't be destroyed, but Brawlmart is looking to find out where they are and steal the magic from them to make something else. They don't appear to have the location yet
Aine finds that the Church of the 6th has the location of these legendary weapons. May have hid them themselves
Nix also finds some info about his monastery. Plans for it, new treatment, made from Glimmer.
Aine does her brain eating thing again to find out where the weapons are, she hears in his mind, a voice comes to him, "You must find the only things that will stop what I am planning, I can't have them out there you know this, my beautiful Carlyle, bring who you must to obtain them" A flash of Carlyle out on some missions, 6ers are with him, many of them die, fighting through a deep cavern, collecting weapon after weapon after weapon, presenting them on the porch of an old abandoned home, around the house is decay and ruin, dead trees, ground is cracked, armor and a cloak in addition to the weapons. Nothing for miles around the house, he leaves the items in a box on the porch and leaves. Not 100% sure how to get there
Aine explains what she saw and Artemi knows the spot
The next room was an office at one point as well, it now has a makeshift altar with two bowls, one with liquid and one that is kind of liquid, behind it is a bunch of papers, there is also a corpse
Victoro investigates the corpse, not a Church of the 6th member, nothing of value on the corpse, but there is a lethal wound across their neck, bleeding was stopped a long while ago, possibly a sacrifice. Brawlmart logo on their clothes
Aer investigates the desk sitiuation, there was a ritual done here. The one bowl has blood in it, the other bowl has some blood but there are bugs in it as well. On the papers behind the shrine, it's like a ransom note where various things are ripped up to form new words. Malcrow is featured prominently here. There is a book under the bug bowl, Aer grabs it. "To awaken our unholy mother, we must have the blood of the forsaken son, of the man most divine"
Faint evocation aura to the ritual, probably done earlier today
Aer casts Locate Creature on the Flockfather, he is directly below us, doesn't seem to be moving
There are bombs in two rooms, the magic items and some hostages, we save the maybe not-evil hostages, Nix talking to Thea-elle to decide whether she deserves to leave
Mike tells us that we find genuine magic items and siphon off the magic to make the replicas
We get some items and short rest
We send the stealthy boys down the front stairwell and the rest of us wait at the back stairwell for them to tell us what is going on
Flockfather is wrapped in a web on the floor, Flockfather's wife Camilla is standing beside the third figure who is kneeling
Camilla notices Victoro as they step down the stairs. She smiles and it is sharp and vicious. Tiefling beside her slits his throat as his eyes go gold. The blood begins to glow and a bloody sigil grows across the floor. Camilla pulling energy from the blood that Wesley is spilling. Camilla jumps into the tear in the floor and pulls the Flockfather with her
Wesley turns into a weird creature and we fighting
He clearly wants to kill Victoro, I eventually Dimension Door him away
Wesley escapes into the portal. Guy summons his steed and he and Artemi hop in. Aer follows. Nix follows. Some time later Victoro, Aine and I jump in
Big gross spider room, platform in the center, door on the north wall
Artemi sends his echo to open the door, and he is successful
We kill a cultist of some sort, he has 8 eyes like a weirdo
Aine inspects the altar he was at and there is dried blood and evidence of a ritual
Aer inspects the spiders, they are not magical in nature, there's just a ton of them
First hallway we check has a crack about halfway down that the spiders are maybe coming through?
Guy and Artemi check out a coffin at the end, there's a staff in it and a push plate, staff of the magi
Second sarcophagus has a belt, belt of the storm giant strength
Third sarcophagus has a rod, a rod of resurrection
Fourth sarcophagus has a cloak of Arachnida
Guy attempts to Sending the Nightingale to let her know of what we're doing, it is working
Sarcophagus 5 has a pair of gloves, gloves of soul catching
Next one has a hand crossbow, energy bow (hand crossbow)
Next one has a harp
Last one has a large shield, shield of the cavalier
