Morgan's Story
Morgan's parents Val and Waes (Mother Valralei Wildflow and Father Waesmaer Duskgazer) immediately fell in love when first meeting at age 13. They studied for years; went through every available curriculum at the Arcademy, learning and growing together as young elves. Eventually becoming pretty darn good wizards, they were finally ready to hit the road as adventurers! And that they did... for many decades.
Originally from Taur-Iaun like most Wood Elves of Fynali, Val and Waes made very well of their extended Elven lives and explored until the age of 107. This is when they decided to settle down in the City of Sunkenstar, to have nice boring adult lives and raise beautiful, perfect children together.

Wood elf; female; 5'9"; 27 years old; long, wild, wavy red hair; bright green eyes; lithe frame. Simple clothes besides her cloak, which is well made and a vibrant green. She carries a sextant on her belt that doubles as her arcane focus.
The thing about wizards is that sometimes they just can't help themselves. Sometimes their desire for power leads them down paths they shouldn't tread. Val and Waes wondered if they could use their magic to enhance their children. They created a series of magical elixirs which Val imbibed while she was pregnant with Morgan. The end result was a child imbued with Wild Magic from birth.
Morgan's parents were filled with regret about their magical experiment from very early on. Raising a toddler who could cast even just basic spells was kind of a nightmare. They decided to forgo the elixirs during their second pregnancy, but were blessed with twin girls instead (Phara and Wia). They attempted to raise all three children with a strict, wizardly curriculum, but Morgan resented this. She didn't need to study to do her magic, she saw it as a waste of time. In Morgan's mind her parents were boring and overbearing.
Morgan began to sneak out into Sunkenstar in her early twenties as a form of rebellion. She had a small group she would roll with consisting of Ani (female, human, rogue), Dink (male, orc, barbarian), and Ravenn (female, kenku, trickery cleric). They would steal, scam, pickpocket and cause all sorts of mischief with her magic; sometimes purposefully, sometimes by accident.
Her parents would always bail her out when she inevitably got caught, using their clout as former adventurers to make sure she never got in real trouble. Morgan resented this as well-- why couldn't they just let her get in trouble and live her own life?
As she entered her late twenties Morgan realized it was time for her to make her own way in the world. She wanted to go and see Taur-Iaun. She wanted to see where her people came from and try to understand the Wood Elves' connection to nature. She wanted to understand how her parents could go against nature the way they did when they messed up Morgan's early development. She also needed to get out of Sunkenstar. She was sick of the tourists, sick of the big city life, and sick of her overbearing parents and her "perfect" sisters.
Morgan snuck out one night and broached this topic with Ani, Dink and Ravenn, but they were comfortable in Sunkenstar with no desire to leave--just one more, and final frustrating moment before Morgan departs. She then set out on her own.
